Locations along the Parkway (which stretches from Bronx Park to Kensico Dam) include Bronx Park (including the New York Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo); Williamsbridge, the Bronx; and Mount Vernon, Bronxville, Hartsdale, White Plains, Kensico Lake, and Kensico Dam.

Dr. Theodore Kazimiroff (1914-1980), a dentist and amateur archeologist, served as Bronx Historian (1953-1980). He helped found the Bronx County Historical Society in 1955 and was its first president. He was a consultant to the New York Zoological Society, the Museum of the American Indian, and the Museum of Natural History.
